The City of Calgary is serious about recycling and have set ambitious goals for the future to reduce waste added to our Calgary landfills. The City of Calgary has along-term goal is to reduce the amount of waste going to landfills to just 20 per cent, and recycling or recovering 80 per cent of waste materials by the year 2020.

Electronics Recycling - Electronic Drop Off Locations
Recycle old and unusable electronics, free of charge Includes such items as:
- TVs (all sizes)
- Desktop computers
- Computer monitors (some restrictions apply)

- Plastics with the recycling symbol 1-7 (excluding foam cups, containers or packaging)
- Plastic bags
- Paper and cardboard

Freecycle - great resource for finding items or getting rid of items, and the best part is that everything is FREE! You must join the group to have access to the service but membership is absolutely free.
